I love swimming, once I drowned in the water because of it I have a water phobia, how I can fight with it?

Me and my cousin are the same age, when we were off 5. My cousin used to go to swimming with my uncle. She knows swimming and I was the one who didn’t know how to swim. One day  insisted my uncle to take me to swim as well. Firstly he denied, but my persuasion made him agree.

We were in the shallow pool, she was swimming and I was just playing with the water. I wonder how perfectly she swims. Soon she needed to go to the washroom. She called uncle to take her to the washroom. My uncle ordered me not to go here and there till they come back. I was a mischievous child. Soon they disappeared, I got out of the shallow pool and went to the deep one. Sitting on the edge was thinking what to do. Within no time I jumped into the water. They came back started searching for me. I was nowhere. One young boy dove into the deep pool and saw a child sitting down in the swimming pool and that was me unconscious.

He took me out, everyone got gathered around me and was trying to take water out of my chest. I was severely ill and got hydrophobic. From that time till my 17 years I was so afraid of water and my cousin used to laugh at me and my act that what I was doing down in the pool. Then I took admission in the cadet college. Swimming was must there. My coach made my phobia away slowly and gradually. Now I am considered among the best swimmers in my college.
